Authorities, residents to dialogue on development of Central Tongu

The Central Tongu District Assembly has scheduled a town hall meeting for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to foster dialogue between local authorities and residents on the development priorities of the district.

The meeting, which will take place at the Adidome Old District Assembly Hall at 1000ours, is expected to bring together stakeholders from various sectors including education, health, security, and community development.

It aims to deepen citizen engagement, promote transparency, and enhance accountability in local governance.

Mr. Dodzi Mornyuie Addison, the District Chief Executive of Central Tongu and member of the organising committee, said the forum will serve as a platform for stakeholders to share ideas, review achievements, and identify challenges affecting the district’s progress.

He noted that the discussions will focus on government interventions, ongoing projects, and future strategies designed to accelerate socio-economic development in Central Tongu.

“The Assembly believes that inclusive participation in governance is essential for sustainable development. This meeting is, therefore, a call for all residents to make their voices heard and contribute meaningfully to the district’s growth,” Mr. Addison stated.

He further encouraged community members, traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and youth groups to attend and engage constructively in the deliberations.

The town hall meeting forms part of nationwide efforts by local assemblies to strengthen grassroots’ participation and ensure that development policies reflect the needs and aspirations of citizens.
