President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to completing projects left by the previous government.
He said, “these projects were initiated with Tax payers monies and we do not have to leave them to rot because one government is out of power”.
The President gave the assurance when he inspected the stalled works at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital and intended second Apeminyim Hospital to become the main Regional referral Hospital.
He said, Effia-Nkwanta had been upgraded to a first class teaching Hospital and I am really impressed about the work done here: “I have also asked the Ministry of Finance to engage with contractors to validate their claims to enable them to go back to site”.
Work at Effia-Nkwanta Regional Teaching Hospital is about 45 percent complete.
The President said it had become important to spread health care facilities, expand and ensure advance and efficient care.
Amandi, the contractors on the project were on site to run the President through project implementation status.
