Amenfi Central MP to drill 30 boreholes for constituents 

Manso Amenfi (W/R), November 03, GNA – The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, Madam Joana Gyan Cudjoe has commenced the drilling of 30 new boreholes to help address the long-standing water challenges faced by several communities within the constituency.  

The boreholes would be fitted with modern hand pumps to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of clean, safe drinking water for the people of Wassa Amenfi Central. 

In an interview with the media, the MP said access to safe water was a fundamental human right and essential for public health and socio-economic development. 

 “Many areas in the constituency have struggled with water scarcity and water-borne diseases, seasonal droughts, climate change impacts and pollution of existing water sources,” the MP pointed out. 

She said communities like Agona -Amenfi, Jeduakese, Juabo, Dominase, Amokrom, Dwrigum D/A school and other areas urgently needed boreholes to improve the water quality and sanitation.  

Madam Gyan Cudjoe said the boreholes were in response to needs and concerns raised by residents and stakeholders during a recent community engagement on how to improve the quality of life for all the constituents. 

She said the development of Amenfi Central was her prime priority as the Member of Parliament.
