Calvary Charismatic Centre donates to Asokwa Children’s Hospital as part of evangelism drive

The Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), a leading charismatic church in Kumasi, has marked its annual Evangelism Month in October with a big donation to the Asokwa Children’s Hospital.

The act of charity forms part of the Church’s outreach activities and evangelism drive.

Pastor Joshua Obeng, the Resident Minister of CCC, led the elders of the church to present the essential items such as toiletries, detergents, toothbrushes, soaps, and toothpaste to the hospital.

Before the presentation, the CCC delegation was taken on a guided tour of the hospital as the Deputy Administrative Manager in charge of Claims, Mr Benjamin Wiredu, briefed them on the facility’s operations and challenges.

The church leaders commended the hospital staff for their professionalism and dedication, praising them for maintaining an exceptionally clean and orderly environment within the wards and facility.

Pastor Obeng expressed the church’s appreciation for the hospital’s unwavering commitment to the care and wellbeing of children.

“A society that does not keep an eye on the health of its infants and children will eventually lose its existence,” Pastor Obeng stated, underscoring the critical nature of the hospital’s work.

He explained that although the hospital is in Asokwa, its services benefit children across the wider Kumasi metropolis.

“As we celebrate October as our biggest outreach initiative, dubbed ‘Massive Evangelism’, members and elders of CCC also decided to donate these items to support the Kumasi Children’s Hospital,” Pastor Obeng affirmed.

Mr Wiredu, in receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, expressed profound gratitude to the church for its thoughtful gesture.

He noted that the donated supplies were essential to the hospital’s daily operations, particularly in caring for young patients.

Mr Wiredu explained that the hospital primarily serves children aged one to 12 but also handles special cases involving older children up to 16 years.
