The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced plans to reopen nominations in electoral areas and units where no candidates filed during the recent district-level election process.
In a statement signed by Mr Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chair in charge of Operations, the Commission said the decision aligns with the District Level Elections Regulations, 2015 (C.I. 89).
“The Commission will reopen nominations for Electoral Areas and Units where no Nomination was filed,” the statement said, adding that a new timetable would be released in due course.
The EC urged interested candidates and the public to take note and await the publication of the revised schedule.
