Nigerian star Burna Boy has been named Best International Act by the BET awards in the US.
This is the second year in a row the ‘Ye’ hit maker is grabbing the award.
Accepting his prize from supermodel Naomi Campbell on Sunday, the musician spoke of historical attempts to reduce Africa to a “dominated nation” adding:
“Now is the time to overturn that and go back to the royalty that we were. Because in order for Black lives to matter, Africa must matter.”
