Authorities have shut the airspace across Switzerland the morning of June 15 as a safety precaution due to a technical issue at the Swiss air traffic control Skyguide. Flight operations at airports across the country, including Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH) airports, are suspended through at least 11:00; extensions are possible. Officials have yet to announce a timeframe for system recovery.

Flight delays and cancellations are likely in the coming hours. Lingering disruptions are possible through at least June 15 after normal services resume as airlines work to clear backlogs.

Reconfirm flight schedules June 15. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed.
