
COVID: admissions down 16.3%, trend down for over a month
(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 8 – Hospital admissions to intensive care units (ICUs) for COVID-19 fell 16.3% over the last week, the Italian federation of health and hospital companies (FIASO) said Wednesday.
The fall was 15.9% in general wards, it said.
It was the fifth straight weekly drop, it said.
In ERs the number of patients was 24.2% down.
The proportion of anti-vaxxers in ICUs was over 40%, FIASO said.
