The Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, has commended the USA-Bright Seed: Nova Care Ghana Foundation medical outreach team for their dedication to improving healthcare delivery in rural communities.
Mr. Gunu, who was accompanied by the Akatsi North District Chief Executive, Mr. Bless Kodjo Katamani, made the remarks during a working visit to the team at the Akatsi North District Health Directorate, where they began their first day of providing essential medical services to residents.
The outreach team, led by Dr. Arthur Charis, expressed enthusiasm about reaching out to communities with vital healthcare support, describing the exercise as a shared effort to improve public health outcomes in the district.
Mr. Gunu praised the team for their selflessness and commitment to serving even the most remote areas, noting that such partnerships demonstrated the power of collaboration in strengthening the region’s healthcare system.
He reaffirmed the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen, regardless of location, has access to quality and timely health services.

The Minister assured that, in partnership with the Ghana Health Service and local health directorates, the region will continue to build stronger healthcare systems and promote community well-being across the Volta Region.
